A to Z by Sandra Boynton is a great book to introduce children to reading as well as the alphabet. Boynton assigns each letter to a different animal doing some action, such as 'Hippos hiding' and 'Turkeys tripping.' Children will have so much fun reading this, and can even act out some of what these animals are doing!
Boynton did an amazing job of introducing the letters of the alphabet and the sounds accompanied with them. The illustrations are simple but still very captivating. I think that this is a great book to have for beginning readers. Because of this, I rate this book four out of four stars!

Sandra Boynton uses such whimsicalness in her work that I cannot help but love her style. She actually started out writing Hallmark Greeting Cards, which I find to be a fun fact. These were my go-to books when my kids were babies. I loved reading them because of the musical nature and overall silliness.
