Picture Book - Have You Seen My Duckling?

This picture book follows a mother duck who has lost one of her ducklings. The pictures showcase her looking all over for the missing duckling with her remaining ducklings. Children can narrate the story utilizing the pictures how they see the story progressing.

The artwork in this book was breathtaking, and the story being illustrated was simple enough for children to grapple. Because of this, I rated this story four out of four stars. This book is a great way to introduce reading to younger children in an engaging way. The progression of the story entails conflict and resolution, story progression, character development, and so much more.

  1. Just looking at the cover, this book looks beautifully illustrated and absolutely adorable. I definitely had this book as a kid and its super sweet.
I think its a really interesting concept to have kids make their own story with this book that involves animals they can easily see out in the world. It might encourage them to make up stories about the ducks next time they see them. I thought it was really cool too when I was reading the wordless picture books for my blog how they used visual cues to create conflict and resolution too.
